Drumroll please....

That's right.
Number 1.
I'm getting married suckas.
Check it out.
Naturally this news also caused me to cross of number 16: cry because I'm so happy. It was awesome and embarrassing at the same time. Anywho, August 5th is the tentative date and this is the happy couple:

Also knocked off the list was number 28: Spend New Year's Eve in Times Square! Christian and I and our friend Mike got together in NYC ready for the party of our lives but unfortunately...it SUCKED. HARD. It was freezing, I was miserable, they closed off all the streets and we couldn't get into Times Square at all. We didn't see anything and we ended up sleeping in Grand Central Station waiting for our early morning bus back home. But we got some cool pictures out of it. And talk to some drunk Persians. And see Carlo's Bakery so that makes it okay.

My Life Isn't Boring

I've asked a bunch of my friends some things that they would put on their bucket list, to get some more ideas for mine, and just out of curiosity. Interestingly enough, I've already done a lot of the things they suggested before I even made my list.
I thought it would be cool to list them here to give other people ideas and to just help me to remember my life hasn't really been as boring as I make it sound.

Things I Have Already Done:
1. Gone whale watching
2. Been on a roller coaster
3. Gone camping
4. Seen live concerts
5. Went skiing
6. Shot a gun
7. Seen a major league baseball game
8. Visited the Statue of Liberty
9. Eaten escargots
10. Skipped school
11. Held a snake
12. Slept under the stars
13. Donated hair to Locks of Love
14. Mailed a secret to PostSecret
15. Went skinny dipping

I'm sure there are more but you get the idea

Hey at least it's something!

Not much progress since last time, but I did make a little progress on number 9: Visit every state at least once. A few weeks ago I went to my friend Hannah's wedding reception in Montana. It is a beautiful place, let me tell you. It looks a lot like Idaho except it's a lot greener and there are more mountains, less civilization but probably an equal amount of guns. I saw a couple of actual ghost towns, it was pretty amazing. Unfortunately, I couldn't get many pictures of the landscape (especially the view from Hannah's backyard...wow) because we got there at 4am the first night and then when I left I was so exhausted that I was totally unconscious for the entire ride back. Hannah has this great two seater swing on the tree in her backyard and we all had fun on that. She also has 3 huge dogs that really, really liked me. Also, I think I'm allergic to dogs.

And this was us after the day was over:
In other news on this particular item, I was talking to my boyfriend, and he said that his Dad would be happy to have us over at his little bed and breakfast in Hawaii, so that might be an upcoming expedition. Also, his family is very wealthy and from England, so we might also have a chance to head up there for free(!!!) this winter break. Freakin college is getting in the way of anything on this list getting done...so maybe I'll do more during the break. Hopefully.

One More Down

WELL! It's been a while and I have only crossed off one more thing on my list. But hey, I have my entire life to do this so I'm pretty proud of myself for doing number 30: Swim in a waterfall. A few of my friends and I went to Monkey Rock near St. Anthony, Idaho, and we had an awesome time.

Also, I had every intention of completing number 11: Dye my hair a crazy color, and I even cut it all off and bleached it. Exhibit A:
But, I really love how it looks now and I don't want to change it again! I'm thinking before I dye it a different color (and I'm on break from school...Honor Code sucks) then I'll do it and it shall be amazing.

I ended up putting number 4: Learn the drums on hold, because I was diagnosed with Degenerative Joint and Disc Disease which made it uncomfortable to sit for so long and operate the cymbals and bass drum with my feet. However, my drum teacher at BYU-I said I should participate in their African Drum circle in the fall! Which I just might do...

Unfortunately, I am going to have to take number 44: Go cow tipping off of the list. I asked a bunch of native Idahoans if it was actually possible, and they said yes. HOWEVER it would be very dangerous and could hurt/kill the cows. Which I'm not really keen on doing, so off it goes.

So now I am on the 7 week summer break and I am back in Boston. And bored. So you know what that means! More stuff on this list is getting friggin DONE! Hopefully number 9: Visit every state at least once will be a teeny bit closer to getting crossed off. My friend is having her wedding reception in Montana and a few friends and I are planning on taking a little road trip there. Also number 8: Go on a cross country road trip might actually happen by the end of this year! My boyfriend and I are probably going to be driving back to Boston together from Idaho for the winter break. So excited. And if that works out I might just do number 28: Spend New Year's Eve in Times Square!!!!

Honestly, my summer boredom will probably be extremely unproductive, but hopefully...maybe....I can get closer to finishing this before I actually die. Which might happen soon if I get similar roommates this semester. (Who said that?)

Good News and Bad News

OKAY. So, I know last time I was going to finish four on my list, but I actually only did like 1.5 but whatever. I accomplished one that I didn't expect: Number 21: Kiss a guy. Okay so very, very long story short, it was bad. Moving on...I worked toward number 9: Visit every state at least once by driving from Idaho to California. So I went through Arizona, Nevada, and California. Three states I have never been to! Awesome.

These are the best. Chocolate covered bananas with toffee from Balboa Island

Beach on the Pacific Ocean

Met a bunch of celebrities there

And I've officially started number 4: Learn the drums! It's a bit more difficult than I thought playing with all four of my limbs, but it's still fun and I know it will be worth it once I can play something that sounds...like music. I got my own pair of sticks today and I'm learning how to read percussion music. I feel like a musician already.

Unfortunately, I did not go to General Conference or learn how to drive. I went and stayed in Layton with my friend Rachel, and we stood in line in Temple Square, but did not get in. Ehh that's what we get for not ordering tickets. But I still had so much fun staying with Rachel and her family. It was way fun, and I was introduced to many quality movies like Indian In The Cupboard. Classic.
And I didn't learn how to drive simply because I didn't want to, and there wasn't enough time to before I left for school. I was really tired of everyone telling me I should drive when I didn't want to...So I didn't!

Well, I showed my list to my roommates and Laura said that she's going to help me get some of them done this semester. Soo hopefully there will be more red items on my list over there the next time I write!

Hooray for Almosts!

Well. I think it's high time I updated this thang. So, in two weeks I'll be ending my four-month-long-boredom-a-thon, and heading out to Utah so I can accomplish number 42: Go to General Conference in Salt Lake. I'll be staying with my awesome friend Rachel, and we're going together. There's one small detail; I don't have tickets. I keep on asking my Bishop, but apparently he's very easily distracted. However! I've heard from many people that you can just show up and strangers basically hand them out, so I think we'll be fine no matter what.

After that I'm going to Rexburg for a few days to visit all my winter semester buddies and then I'll be making some headway on number 9: Visit every state at least once. I'm going to...California!!! My former roomies, (well, two of them) Cassie, Alli and I will be headed to Palm Springs where Cassie is from. I'm pretty pumped, to say the least. We're going to hang out at the beach, go to Disneyland, go to Cassie's brother's wedding, and maybe even go to her aunt's place in Newport.

AND I signed up for classes this past weekend, and I decided I'm finally going to be working on number 4: Learn the drums! That's right, mandatory drum lessons once a week. For a letter grade. It's gonna be exactly like that picture over there. I have a feeling my GPA is gonna skyrocket.

But before all this, I'm probably going to end up crossing off number 36: Learn how to drive. I have mixed feelings about this one. I am not too crazy about learning to drive in Boston, but Children's Hospital is kind of sponsoring me (long story) and they already sent a check to the driving school...sooo I guess I'm learning how to drive! I'm going to the DMV tomorrow to get my permit, which I wasn't going to bother getting because I wasn't sure if driving school was going to happen. But alas, it is!

So, I really I haven't actually, uh, done anything, but I have so many almosts to look forward to!

One. At. A. Time.

Alas, I seem to be biting off a tad more than I can chew. I've been trying to read some of the books on the BBC list, but I'm in the middle of the Janet Evanovich series about the adventures of a female bounty hunter in New Jersey (which are great by the way. Read them now.) They are hilarious and action-packed and have legitimately good crime plots. I tried to start reading all 959 pages of Gone With the Wind but I keep expecting gang fights to break out and retired prostitutes to tag along with Scarlett, so I'm thinking one book at a time for me.
I've also started to read the Bible, but I think I'll keep that one going since I read the scriptures before I go to sleep at night anyways.

Also, the juggling is going pretty well. I got the hang of it a few days after I started but I need to work on not having to run after the balls as I juggle, which is not something I see the pros doing. But I am fast approaching the day where I can feel comfortable crossing it off.

The movie watching is going excellently. I love me a good movie, and I was able to geta free trial of Netflix so now I can just basically put the AFI list online and they will send them all directly to my home. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Hands down, my favorite so far has been Schindler's List. It made me cry, and if you know me, you know that's a big thing. It is honestly one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I think what did it for me is that it's a true story. I think it should be required public viewing.

And on a side note, the job-hunting is not going very well. Since I have no experience, I have no job, so I have no experience, so I have no job, etc. Vicious cycle. But, I'm saving up all the money I can in order to get this stuff done!
